UPGRADING BOOT LIGHT
« on: May 03, 2017, 05:17:12 PM »
I would like to improve the boot light in my 2016 Mk3 Ex Navi. The standard set up is very bad as it does not light up the luggage area.
I have carried out a search on the forum, looked on google, e-bay, amazon and seen several video's on youtube.
All this information has confused me (not difficult to do).

The options appear to be:
led plug in replacement bulb
plug in with led panel
led replacement interior kit (4 led's about £11 2 map, 1 interior, 1 boot?)
complete led light replacement (expensive at almost £20!)
extending wiring and fitting addition led's

I understand some led's are not canbus compatible and can cause warning/fault warnings or malfunctions?

Any advice and guidance would be appreciated.

Fred

Avoid LighTec24 'premium' LEDs! I have lots of trouble with the interior dome light, the dome led in the package didn't fit, they sent another one but that was flashing on/off after 2 months, the second replacement they sent then started flashing within a week.

Now they are not responding to my emails anymore. Costs: €30 for a premium Christmas tree in our car.

Have you tried it on a Jazz GK?
EDIT I've checked on HondaLings and the spare part code of the boot light is the same for Jazz GD and Jazz GE; then I checked on Honda Parts Now, and the code  is the same for GE and GK Fit.. so this LED part should be Ok for our Jazz.

Yes, I tested it. I owned Accord CU2 before and I swapped the aftermarket LED boot light from the Accord to the Jazz GK.
